Google Reader Numbers Tell A Story

Well, not about this blog or its subscription base. But about the top web based feed readers. A while back Bloglines was reported as the top feed reader. At that time a lot of feed statistics did not include them. That has changed since Google Reader has started giving out numbers and Feedburner has accepted the Google effect.

The story that comes out, other than the spike in the numbers, is that Google Reader is really popular. Darren Rowse reports his experience. I think Bloglines has competitive functionality, but Google Reader provides better user experience for some, and these some are quickly heading towards many.

As for the increase in numbers, I am not too excited. I am sure there will be errors, they will be corrected and it will be a while till the numbers get stable.

Say your thought!
