Showing Off A New Theme

As promised, here is the new theme. This is the most of the theme that will end up here till I get restless with it. Most of the theme because I want to keep it open to incorporate suggestions by you. I will write a detailed post, with a lot of technical details, a bit later, after I include the feedback. I intended to create a minimalist elastic theme and use it against me if you want to. So hop out of your feedreader and feel free to tear it apart and feed it with your rants, suggestions or comments. The theme is still hungry!

    I like it!
Clean and simple… Nice colors and contrast =)

But I think you can use some images to header or logo…

Thanks Carlos! I usually end up not using images as I am not good with them ;-) I might use icons though.

I very much preferred your previous green theme, so if it’s going to waste…

On a more serious note I like the new colour scheme. One of the main things I would look into is the padding and spacing around the sidebar content. I’m not a fan of scrolling through websites if it is avoidable.

Just a thought, though who am I to talk? I can’t code for toffee.

Addendum :: I think i’m being an idiot and confusing some websites – you’re wasn’t greena t all, was it (bar perhaps around the header)?

    Silly me.

It happens with me too! However, was your suggestion about the padding and spacing for this design?

  6. CK said:

That part was at least pertinent!

I’m going to view it once I leave work though. The office here only runs IE6 and they refuse to upgrade for whatever reason. The end reasult is that most websites look out of alignment and generally not how they should. So, watch this space.
