This blog now supports OpenID for comments. I got a favorable response and that was enough for me to use it here. I am using the wpopenid fork created by Will Norris. The plugin is extremely easy to use, but I hope that OpenID is tightly integrated into Wordpress. I am currently using it in the basic form, but I would really like it to use in the unobtrusive mode, which Will has already added in. However, I think that calls out for an explicit message since it might not be intuitive for everyone. I am going to play around with it for some time, and I would like to ask you to report any weird behavior you see. I already use this blog URL as my OpenID and now the commenting supports it. As an OpenID advocate I will ask you to go ahead and get one, if have not yet. And if you already have one but do not use it, this blog is a good place to start using it.
