Newspapers Can Use OpenID

Amit Agarwal asks if newspapers should eliminate the mandatory registration. I agree with Amit that it should be avoided if the registration data is not being used. Of course, sometimes it becomes a necessity if the newspaper wants to play a portal or provide personalization. But as a user, having to enter a username/password for every site is painful. Newspapers can use OpenID. Serves well both of us.

Kyle, did not understand what you meant by adaptation.
