The Unwanted Traffic At W3C

The DTDs and namespace documents are bringing in unwanted traffic at W3C (via Slashdot). DOCTYPE is a declaration you use to indicate the version of markup the site uses or is supposed to use. It is a declaration, not a hyperlink. However, this is not what some of the software understands it as, causing unwanted traffic. W3C seems to have identified some software, it might be beneficial to put it out in the open so that we can contribute fixing the open source ones. Well, the least we can do is not get curious and try these URIs in the browsers after reading these posts.

Who are you?

If you want to use HTML you can use these tags: <a>, <em>, <strong>, <abbr>, <code>, <blockquote>. Closing the tags will be appreciated as this site uses valid XHTML.
