I am happy to know that Infosys is taking initiative to encourage their employees to beat the traffic. The system of financial rewards is a good incentive.
However, I wonder if companies will be willing to let their employees work from home whenever possible. It is a good way of beating the traffic, and saving time and energy, and perhaps some money as well. Not everyone can, not everyone will want to, but I am sure a good bunch can. A lot of my friends show interest in this when we talk. I am sure many big companies will hate it in the beginning because it will need a change in perception about attendance and productivity. But I bet it will appeal to a lot of smaller companies.
