A Very Happy New Year to you! And an exciting start for me, as I have given up my XFCE setup. XFCE is still the best desktop environment, but I want to move away from the idea of desktop environment to try out some things. I have tried xmonad for short times, but now I am adopting it as my main window manager. The biggest difference is that it is not about windows as much as it is about desktop spaces. It will also be a lot about keyboard than mouse and will need to use the virtual workspaces more judiciously.
