Michael Arrington notes that AOL is going to pull the plug on Netscape development. Also, the Netscape team now recommends the Netscapers to continue with Mozilla Firefox. A leader once in browsing, the Netscape browser can be considered to be one of the early disruptions. [Continue]
OpenID seems to be causing a lot of waves. AOL now supports OpenID. Every AOL/AIM user now automatically has a OpenID and Sam Ruby has already verified it. [Continue]

I had read Joe Hewitt on Boxely (from AOL) when it was in the works, but found through Matt that it has gone live. I think these markup based UI development kits are better at portability as their application building technology is available on all platforms. They become portable once their rendering engine is ported on multiple operating systems. [Continue]
